Nuria Parrizas-Diaz gets her revenge against Dalma Galfi and moves into last 8 in Cluj

Nuria Parrizas-Dias advanced to the quarterfinals of Transylvania Open after a clear-cut win over Hungary’s Dalma Galfi: 6-1, 6-4.

The Spanish player thus got her revenge after the defeat she suffered at US Open, where Dalfi ousted her in the first round.

Parrizas-Dias, who is attending for the first time Romanian-held tournament, has had an excellent course so far, without dropping any set. For a place in the semifinals, she will play against the winner between Gabriela Ruse and Xiyu Wang.

“I am very happy with my game level here. I feel good, I like the conditions in Cluj”, Nuria said in the post-match interview with Horia Tecău.

She was then asked what did she do differently, compared to the US Open match with Galfi, and how far she thinks she can advance in Transylvania Open.

“I didn’t think much about the previous match. I listened to my coach and did what I had to do to get the win today. I will now take it to match by match, I don’t know how far I can go”.
