Simona Halep returns to the Transylvania Open in February 2025!

Tickets for the tennis tournament in Cluj-Napoca will be available from October 2, 2PM.

Simona Halep, the most beloved Romanian tennis player of all time, has confirmed her participation in the Transylvania Open WTA 250, which will take place between February 1 and 9, 2025, at BTarena in Cluj-Napoca. Simona Halep, a symbol of Romanian sports and one of the most respected players on the WTA circuit, enthusiastically announced her participation in next year’s edition.

Simona Halep: “Hello, dear ones! I am excited to announce that I will be playing at the Transylvania Open from February 1-9, 2025. I can’t wait to see you again in Cluj-Napoca at BTarena, and I hope to see you all in the stands. It will be magical!”

Tennis fans will finally have the chance to see Simona Halep in action in Cluj-Napoca, after being unable to attend the first edition of the Transylvania Open in 2021 due to pandemic restrictions. Back then, Simona reached the final, playing against Anett Kontaveit, in a tournament full of emotions both for Simona and the fans who watched from home. This time, in 2025, they will be able to support her live, from the stands.

In addition to Simona Halep’s presence, other top Romanian players such as Ana Bogdan, last year’s tournament finalist, Jaqueline Cristian, and Gabriela Ruse have confirmed their participation in the 2025 Transylvania Open.

**Patrick Ciorcilă, Transylvania Open WTA 250 Director:** “It’s fantastic that Simona Halep will return to the Transylvania Open! Together with Ana Bogdan, Jaqueline Cristian, and Gabriela Ruse, we have an impressive lineup of players, which will make the 2025 Transylvania Open one of the most spectacular sporting events in Romania!”
