The Official List of Players in the 2025 Transylvania Open WTA 250 Qualifying Draw

Ana Bogdan and Gabriela Ruse in the Qualifying Draw. Four Other Romanians Receive Wild Cards

Transylvania Open WTA 250 has announced the official list of players registered for this year’s qualifying rounds, which will take place over two days, during the weekend of February 1-2, 2025, at BTarena in Cluj-Napoca. A total of 24 players will compete for one of the six available spots in the main singles draw. Among them are six Romanian players: Ana Bogdan, Elena-Gabriela Ruse, Miriam Bulgaru, Ilinca Amariei, Georgia Crăciun, and Briana Szabo.

Ana Bogdan, last year’s tournament finalist, and Elena-Gabriela Ruse, both regular participants in the Cluj-Napoca tournament, have entered the qualifying rounds via registration. Miriam Bulgaru, Ilinca Amariei, Georgia Crăciun, and Briana Szabo have received wild cards from the organizers.

This year’s qualifying rounds feature many players ranked in the top 130 worldwide.

Admission to the qualifying matches is free, based on a zero-value ticket that can be downloaded from the entertix.ro platform.

The fifth edition of Romania’s largest tennis tournament will be held at the BTarena in Cluj-Napoca. Matches will be played indoors, on hard courts, on two tennis courts set up for the event. A total of 32 players will compete in the singles matches, and 16 teams in the doubles, for 250 WTA points and total prizes worth $275,094.
